Casco Phil

An online special by:

Casco Phil, the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium, was founded in 2008. Its programme consists of concert series, projects for children and young talent – giving talented young Belgian composers the opportunity to write new work for chamber orchestra under the supervision of a renowned composer –, and projects characterised by a social commitment, in particular bringing underprivileged groups and children into contact with classical music. The Casco Phil's aim is to evolve into a music workshop where experiment is combined with the traditional practice, so as to become a breeding ground for emerging talent.

The Orchestra works with young and renowned soloists, inlcuding pianist Boris Giltburg (RU/IL) and violinist Yossif Ivanov, clarinettist Annelien van Wauwe, harpist Anneleen Lenaerts, violonist Liza Ferschtman (NL) and the Morgenstern Trio (DE).

Benjamin Haemhouts is Casco Phil's music director.
