Dirk Brossé

Dirk Brossé (°1960) studied at the Conservatories in Ghent and Brussels. In Maastricht, Vienna and Cologne he specialised in conducting.

Brossé has written concerti, oratorios, lieder, chamber music and symphonic works, that have been performed and recorded world-wide. He has also written for theatre and cinema, in close collaboration with Frank Van Laecke. In 2007 Brossé made his debut in the Royal Albert Hall, conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. He has made more than sixty CD recordings and has conducted in numerous concert halls, working with José Van Dam, Philip Webb, Barbara Hendricks and many others, and on a broader musical platform with, among others, John Williams, Toots Thielemans and Hans Zimmer.
