Hendrickje Van Kerckhove

Hendrickje Van Kerckhove studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, and acquired a postgraduate at the Flanders Opera Studio and at the Queen Elisabeth Musical College, where she was coached by Susanne Eken and José Van Dam.

In 2005, Van Kerckhove made her first appearance at the Bayerische Staatsoper in München and in 2008 at the Theater an de Wien. She subsequently sang in, among other operas, Luigi Nono's ‘Al gran sole carico d’Amore’ (DE) and Despina in ‘Cosi fan tutte’ (FR), Adèle in ‘Fledermaus’ and Clorinda in ‘La Cenerentola’. In autumn 2014, she sang Claire in ‘Quai Ouest’ by the French composer Régis Campo.

Van Kerckhove has performed in concert with many orchestras, among others Le Concert Spirituel, Residentie Orkest The Hague, Brussels Philharmonic, Belgian National Orchestra, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and Flanders Symphony Orchestra; under the baton of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Ed Spanjaard, Enrique Mazzola and Philippe Herreweghe.
