Korneel Bernolet

A conductor and harpsichordist, Korneel Bernolet is one of the most versatile talents of the international music scene today. As a conductor, he works in a repertoire span from Monteverdi till Gershwin, with a preference for opera and oratorio. He is assistant-conductor for Jos van Immerseel at Anima Eterna Brugge and for Christophe Rousset in Les Talens Lyriques. Recently he started collaborating with Philippe Herreweghe as pianoforte-continuo and as assistant at the Collegium Vocale Gent; earlier he assisted at B'Rock, cantoLX and Vocalconsort Berlin.

As a guest conductor he worked with Bach Akademie Australia, Flanders Symphony Orchestra, Anima Eterna Brugge, Collegium Vocale Gent, Muziektheater Transparant, International Opera Academy, and Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. He worked at prestigious houses such as Wiener Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Opéra National du Rhin Nancy, Rudolfinum Prague, Valenciana Temple Guanajuato, the Philharmonies of Paris, Cologne, Essen, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, and all major houses in Belgium.
