The Belgian soprano Liesbeth Devos studied oboe and voice at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She won first prize at the Kurt-Leimer Wettbewerb (Zurich), was a finalist of the Liedwettbewerb des Bayerischen Rundfunks (Bayreuth) and a finalist of the Wigmore Hall / Independent Opera Voice Fellowship. Liesbeth Devos regularly performed various roles in the three opera houses in Belgium (La Monnaie/De Munt, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and the Opéra Royal de Wallonie) and has also performed at the San Francisco Opera.
As a solo concert singer, Devos shared the stage with various symphonic orchestras such as Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Les Arts Florissants, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, The Academy of Ancient Music, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchester de Dijon Bourgogne, Flanders Youth and Music Orchestra, Handel and Haydn Society, Le Concert d'Anvers, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, and Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. She appeared on CD with music by August De Boeck, Bram Van Camp and Lodewijk Mortelmans.
