Odegand is a part of the Flanders Festival section in Ghent. This one-day festival presents more than 60 concerts, taking place in the city centre of Ghent, with music ranging from the purely classical to world music. For its concerts, the festival uses historical buildings like the St. Bavo's Cathedral, Music Centre de Bijloke, and the Handelsbeurs. Traditionally scheduled in September, Odegand is the annual start of the cultural season.
