Thomas Dieltjens (°1969) studied at the Conservatory of Brussels and went on to the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin to perfect his skills. Although he is frequently active as a concert pianist, his chief interest is in chamber music. Founding member and artistic director of the ensemble Het Collectief, he also performs regularly with other chamber ensembles as a guest, including Oxalys, Spectra, Capilla Flamenca, and the quatuors Danel, Spiegel and Quince (GB). With these ensembles, he gives concerts in an out of Europe and plays at festivals including Ars Musica, Klarafestival, Musik+ (AT), Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (DE), Festival van Vlaanderen, Festival de Saintes (FR) and Festival de inverno Campos do Jordão (Brazil).
He forms duets with the flutist Toon Fret, clarinettist Benjamin Dieltjens, oboist Eric Speller and violinist Miki Tsunoda. He has been a lecturer in chamber music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel since 1992.
