Yannick Van de Velde

Yannick Van de Velde is a renowned pianist in the musical scene in Belgium and across Europe. He has studied with with Klaus Hellwig, Elisso Virsaladze, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, and Jan Michiels, and successfully participated in many international competitions: he was a finalist of the Busoni Competition in Bolzano, Italy (2015), won the “Prix d’Argent” and Public Prize in the Piano Campus Competition in Paris, and first prize in the Nany Phillepart Foundation Competition.

Van de Velde is experienced both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, with more than 30 concertos and the integral piano music of Maurice Ravel among his repertoire. He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Erich Lederhändler, Etienne Siebens, Michael Hofstätter, Ivo Venkov, Fabrice Parmentier, and others, and plays chamber music with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
